Shaniko Paddy Wagon

(Click on image to enlarge)

This is an old "Paddy Wagon" in Shaniko, OR. It is a quaint "OLD TOWN" situated on Hwy 97 between I-84 at Biggs, OR. and Redmod, OR to the south. Pretty neat place - worth the drive to check it out. The whole area was blanketed with ice from freezing fog - very beautiful !
More to come - stay tuned...

OK this is a much better photo. In fact it is a fantastic photo. The bit of red showing in it really sets the paddy waggon and ice off nicely.
I was also looking at William Bourguereau's paintings. Those are great too. Will have to go thru them better.

Hi Cris:
Glad you like this one better - I took over 100 photos on our trip to Redmond, OR where we're going to be moving soon. Would you like a print of the "Lavendar" pic by Tissot - on the house, of course. Just let me know :-}

Look forward to those photos.
Yes I would like a print of that Tissot painting. Thank you.

Hi Cris:
Would you prefer Satin or Matte Canvas, or smooth fine art paper?Email me your address and I'll get on it. Would you mind paying for the shipping - it should be about 6 bucks - sorry, I forgot to mention that.

Very fun photo. I wish I could visit there. I love Oregon! I lived up there for one year.

Hi Barb:
Thanks for the comment - We love Oregon too - almost 30 years now. But this trip we just took was unlike any other I've been on. The freezing fog for about 70 miles turned everything into ice crystals - I'll share some more tomorrow :-}

I found you again! We were on some art site together and you gave me permission to do a painting from your picture of the Shaniko Paddy Wagon. I thought you might like to know it's going up in an exhibit tomorrow with your name on it!
