Seniors on a Road Trip

Seniors On A Road Trip - AKA - My Wife and I on a Road Trip! :-)

While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal, they left the Restaurant and resumed their trip.
When leaving, the elderly woman unknowingly left her glasses on the table and she didn’t miss them until they had been driving about twenty minutes.
By then, to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance before they could find a place to turn around in order to return to the restaurant to retrieve her glasses.
All the way back, the husband became the classic grouchy old man. He fussed and complained and scolded his wife relentlessly during the entire return drive. The more he chided her the more agitated he became. He just wouldn’t let up.
To her relief, they finally arrived at the restaurant. As the woman got out of the car and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses, the old geezer yelled to her: “While you’re in there, you might as well get my hat and the credit card!” :-)
.
Yep - that's me and the wife - getting older is fun isn't it? :-)
.
Have A Great Day!

LOL.. Love it!!! My Dad used to tell me it took him three trips back into the house for something before he could finally leave the driveway. Now I'm doing that. lol

So true! I was already forgetful as a child. But then at least I could remember what I forgot. No such luck now.

Nothing profound - thanks for stopping by, and your comment....I was going to say something else, but I forgot.... :-)

Yup, that sounds about right for those of us past middle age. Leaving the driveway without at least a couple of trips back to the house to retrieve keys, cell phone, coffee, and other miscellaneous other things has become quite a challenge for me these days.

Hi Gary! I'm really glad I don't write checks any more - I'd forget that checkbook EVERY TIME!! And that was 15 years ago! ;-)
