Sandcastles, Anyone?

Remember making sandcastles at the beach? That was always a blast, even though your artistic prowess may not have been evident, it was still fun. Well I have some rather "less than artistic"
examples that I thought I'd share - I don't know if you could actually call these simplistic examples "Art", but take a look anyway:

These are sand castles from this year's competition at Harrison Hotsprings, British Columbia
They last until - the weather takes them down.
Except for this year when many were vandalized
Harrison is well known for their perfect sand for building sand castles.
-Perfect sand for building sand castles - who knew? :-}
These are just a few examples - If you would like me to post the rest, let me know

WHY would someone vandalize such amazing pieces? idiots. I hope those little itchy "no seem em" beach bugs haunt them for a month. Was there a fairly tale them? The Viking boat is my favorite!!! I am always amazed by sand art - sand is so crumbly how can anyone possibly create these amazing things? yet they do...

I do love the sand art...I'm always so awed by such skill! Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos! Amazing to think how much work the artists put into them...

Me Too - If I was talented enough to make something like that , I'm sure I would want to use more durable material!
