If you don't see any funnies for the next couple of days, it's because I'll be busy trying to fill in a very deep hole that I've dug :-}

Florence, Oregon....Bridge and Sunrise

Florence, Oregon is a quaint small town on the Oregon Coast north of Coos Bay. I took these pics in the early morning from our hotel balcony on our anniversary a few years back. Florence has a neat "Old Town" with a variety of shops that I unfortunately did not get any shots of! (left the camera in the car cuz I was too tired too carry it - how dumb is that!)
I hope you enjoy these - let me know :-}

New Barbie not a hit.... guess what's next?

It appears as though no one liked my "New Barbie" post - sorry about that - I thought it was hilarious and so did my wife who can really relate. At any rate , I'm left with no choice but to...... Yep, share some more "Freezing Fog" photos. So here are the absolutely very mostest lastest ever freezing fog photos...... for now :-}

OK, Here's the thing....

I had to uninstall my commercial anti-virus, spyware, and firewall this morning, and reinstall some freeware, so I'm running a little (a lot) behind this morning - plus I'm a little under the weather - yesterday the doctor prescribed me some super duper antibiotics to kill whatever is growing in my lungs, but I haven't gone to the pharmacy yet - so I have to do that too. I will try my best to get a decent post up by this afternoon.

Until then, "I'll be workin' on it"

Ok - just one pic:

Nothing tells your dinner guests you care, more than good ol' fashioned Diesel Fried Chicken - ummmm, ummmm, good!

Shaniko, OR and A FUNNY :-}

Shaniko Bank

And as promised - A FUNNY :-} ....

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack. "Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday." Pattie looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager. Pattie explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.The frog says "Sure. I have this," and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about half an inch tall - bright pink and perfectly formed. Very confused, Pattie explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office. She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog named Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000. And he wants to use this as collateral. She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what in the world is this?"

The bank manager looks back at her and says... "It's a knick-knack, Pattie Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone." :-}

Sorry - My Mistake...Oregon Blue Grass Band in the Snow

(Click on image to enlarge)

It was brought to my attention regarding yesterday's post : "Oregon BlueGrass" that I was leaving out a vital aspect of "Blue Grass" - that of course being the music. So I have added the Oregon based "Rogue Blue Grass Band" to complete the "BlueGrass" reference. Now isn't that better? :-}

HURRY! This one won't last long!

As I've mentioned before we lived on the beautiful southern Oregon coast for 25+ years and would still be there if it weren't for some health issues - but I'll have to start another blog for that one. Several years ago when the housing boom was in full swing, some long time friends were having some housing issues. So I took this picture in an effort to help them find housing :-} (There are quite a few of these around Oregon, but this one was close by). If you happen to recognize this place, please let me know. (Click on the pic for a larger image so that you can read the caption)
Tomorrow's blog will contain an image that could possibly be disturbing - just wanted to let you know,
